The 13th Annual I Chews the Blues festival will be held at MoJoe’s Wing House, 4300 N. State Rd., from noon to 11 p.m. and it will support The Marc Adams Music Scholarship.

According to Marguerite King-Goodall, organizer of the event, Adams was a 1970 graduate from Davison High School. He moved to New Orleans 40 years ago, realized his dream of being a musician and he was very successful. Adams died last year from cancer.

“He was instrumental in talking me into starting the Blues fest after he saw what we accomplished putting together a benefit for him and his wife, Clare, because they were victims of hurricane Katrina,” said King-Goodall.

The bands scheduled to perform at this year’s festival are:

1 p.m. Rev. Right Time and the First Cousins of Funk

2 p.m. The Delta Twins

3:15 p.m. Big B and the Actual Proof

4:30 p.m. Mojo Hand

5:45 p.m. Prof. Joe Wright and Friends

7 p.m. Mike Espy and the Vehicle City Allstars
