Snowbirds to gather in Florida

The annual Davison Snowbird Reunion and Picnic is held the first Saturday of March each year. This year, the 34th reunion, will be held March 3 at the Palmetto Point Civic Association Hall in Palmetto, Fla.

We meet at 11 a.m. for social time and eat at noon. Attendees are asked to bring your own table service, a potluck dish to pass, and your drinks of choice. Coffee and ice tea are provided, as well as fried chicken for the main dish. The Davison merchants are very generous with gifts for door prizes, and we would like to thank: Apollo’s, Archie’s, Big Boy of Davison, Stewart Insurance Agency, Hansen Funeral Home, Italia Gardens, John’s Pizzeria, Larson’s Ace Hardware, Lucky’s Steak House, Palace Jewelers, Pizza Hut Bistro, Senor Lucky’s, Whitey’s Restaurant, Hank’s Fine Wines, and B&B Wine cellars.

These gifts will be distributed after dinner and our meeting. There were 50-plus attendees in 2011. Those wishing to attend or wish more information can call Irene Hyde at 810-653-8747.
