Award winners
The Richfield Township Board of Trustees made time to honor a citizen and police officers who went above and beyond the call of duty to solve crimes in the township. Chief Larry Gritzinger presented resident Ed Abdella (left) with a Citizen Award for his help in finding and tracking a group of men who committed a breaking and entering in the township on Oct. 14. Gritzinger also presented Ofc. Andy Torok and Lt. Tony Craig (above) with awards for their work on a murder case at Mt. Morris and Henderson roads from Jan. 10, 2008.
