ELGA names DHS co-op student for December

Photo provided DAVISON — Emily McKanna, who is employed as an office assistant in the principal’s office at Davison Middle School, is the ELGA Credit Union’s Co-op Student of the Month for December.
Emily has worked in the principal’s office since Sept. 2011. She is responsible for handling phone calls, helping parents, and handling student problems.
Davison Middle School’s secretary to the principal nominated Emily stating, “she does an incredible job managing the front desk, greeting parents and students. Her ability to get things done is amazing. She has great communication skills and a friendly personality.”
Emily is active with Davison High School’s Pompon Team and has been its captain for two years. Emily plans to attend the University of Michigan-Flint or Oakland University to become a pediatric physician assistant.
Co-op Student-of-the-Month at Davison High School is sponsored by ELGA Credit Union. The Credit Union honors each student and sponsoring business with plaques. Each monthly nominee is eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship awarded in June 2012. — G.G.
