SAGINAW — Davison’s tennis season could end in a rugged regional today, but the Cardinals have at least one championship to be proud of for the year — and forevermore.

EAST LANSING -- The Davison boys' lacrosse team will see a lot of familiar faces in the Div. 2 Region 6 pre-regional this week. Pre-regionals run May 17-19 with the regional first rounds running May 23-26.

The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass provided not much drama on hole No 18. One Matt Kuchar went to the 18th tee box with a two-shot lead and closed the deal. The possible drama ended when Matt answered Rickie Fowler's 20-foot birdie putt on the par three 17th with a birdie putt on 16 of his own from 15- feet.

BASEBALL

Davison split a Big Nine twin bill with Flushing on Monday, losing the first contest, 7-5, and bouncing back with a 12-9 triumph in the nightcap. In the opener, Tyler Ramoie was 1-for-2, Tyler Owen was 1-for-4, Maverick Prine went 1-for-3, and Cody Wangler went 1-for-2. Cameron Edmonds and Julian Molina each had a hit and a RBI in the game.

DAVISON— The Cardinals’ track squad has had one of the more interesting seasons thus far, proving that they are one of the top teams in the area, especially after last week’s domination of Carman-Ainsworth, which is typically a state powerhouse on the track.
